Breakfast Workshop at CASA ASIA (Madrid) on "The Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank 2008 in Madrid"
Last Friday 25 October Inmaculada Martínez, ADB desk officer at Ministry
of Economy and Finance of Spain and José-Miguel Cortés, General Commissioner
for the 41st Annual Meeting presented the Annual Meeting at CASA ASIA
before 25 managers of major Spanish firms and Institutions.
It has highlighted that the Annual Meeting will represent a key opportunity to come closer
to Asian issues and challenges as well as to broaden potencial business
opportunities.
The event was hosted by Casa Asia Director in Madrid,
Mr. Fernando Delage, and the Director of the Madrid Office for International
Strategy (Madrid Global), Mr. Ignacio Niño. The Organising Committee
for the Annual Meeting would like to thank to CASA ASIA and the MADRID
CITY COUNCIL for this speaking opportunity and their support.
About CASA ASIA
Casa Asia is a public consortium founded in 9 November 2001, made up of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Catalonian Autonomous
Government, the Barcelona City Council and the Madrid City Council, that
aims at promoting the knowledge and development of the relations between
Spain and the countries of Asia and the Pacific, particularly in institutional,
economic, academic and cultural spheres. As a result of a wide range of
activities, Casa Asia has become a reference point for information on Asia
and the Pacific and a key space for intercultural communication. Casa Asia
has recently inaugurated its headquarters in Madrid.
